How to Download and Install the App #

1. Visit the App Store: Open the App Store on your iOS device or the Google Play Store on your Android device.
2. Search for “Star Rewards App”: Use the search bar to find the app.
3. Download the App: Tap the download button and wait for the app to install on your device.
4. Open the App: Once installed, tap on the app icon to open it.

Setting Up a New Account #

1. Launch the App: Open the Star Rewards App on your device.
2. Sign Up or Sign In: You will be prompted to sign up for a new account or sign in to an existing one. Tap on “Sign Up” to create a new account.
3. Create a Parent Account: Enter your first name, email address, and create a password. Alternatively, you can sign up using your Apple account by tapping “Sign Up with Apple.”
4. Welcome Board Screen: After creating your account, you will be greeted by Starry, the cheerful guide and mascot of the app. Starry will guide you through the next steps.
5. Set Up Your Child’s Profile:
   • Enter your child’s first name and tap “Continue.”
   • Choose an avatar for your child. Show the screen to your child to let them select their avatar for more accountability. Once chosen, tap “Continue.”

Adding Tasks #

1. Example Tasks: You will be given examples of popular tasks such as “Make the bed,” “Have breakfast,” “Brush teeth,” “Do homework,” and “Take out the rubbish.”
2. Add a Task:
   • Tap on the “Add Task” button.
   • Enter the name of the task, e.g., “Make the bed.”
   • Select the days of the week the task should be completed. For example, if the task is done every day, select Sunday through Saturday. If it’s only on weekdays, select Monday through Friday.
   • Tap “Save” to add the task.
3. Add More Tasks: You can add additional tasks by tapping the blue “Add Task” button.
4. Get Started: Once you have added the desired tasks, tap “Get Started.”

Onboarding Tutorial #

1. Claiming Stars: You will be taken through a quick tutorial on how to claim stars. To claim stars, simply do a long press (tap and hold) on the star icon on the main screen.
2. Complete the Tutorial: After completing the tutorial, you will be taken to the main Home Screen or the Stars Screen for the selected child.
